I have spent several months getting acclimated into the world of real estate. I am lucky enough to be in a program that pays while it trains. Looking ahead, I have three months left before the money runs out and the panic sets in if I don’t get some steady business soon.
At the same time, I am still moving forward with my writing career. I feel blessed to have two possible avenues to career success between the real estate and writing. I have limited time before I might have to look into a part-time job to supplement income. I see myself in an unusual but very lucky position.
I can take advantage of my current state of having an income. I can start pushing hard with query’s to different venues for writing opportunities. My goal is to send out one letter per day, seven days per week. I will have sent 90 letters or more out by my deadline. I figure like everything else, it’s a numbers game. The more you send out, the more possibilities that someone will be interested in having me write for them.
I am determined to write more letters on days where I find opportunities to connect to more than one good lead. In the mean time, I am still giving myself full days to work on connecting with people who might be interested in buying or selling their home.
I am feeling refreshed now that I have a new plan of action with a very definitive goal. I can’t wait to see how things pan out. Who knows, three months from now I might be loaded down with several good opportunities. I can’t wait to find out.

Just keep on keeping on…., but I would probably have one day for a break, but that’s just me…
Sending you good thoughts! Here’s to perseverance and success!
Thank you.
A positive mindset and taking action. Without these 2 things, success is impossible. You are on the right track on both counts Denise. Focus - laser like - on your end goal & you’ll get there! Good luck!
My apologies - message intended for Wendy but applicable to everybody Denise!
Good for you! Persistence is the key to success — most people who fail just gave up too soon. But we also have to guard against burnout. How about sending two letters out on the sixth day and give yourself a break on the seventh? Your queries might benefit from a rested mind. Just a thought — you know best. Wishing you success!
