Welcome to Wendy’s Happiness Store

Ever Present

Article by Wendy McCance

I am proud to announce that Wendy’s Happiness Store is up and running.  I have wanted to put a store together for some time.  Originally I wanted to share my collection of books with you.  When I put the store together I realized it would be so much more fun to create a place where you could shop for more than just books knowing the products all come highly recommended.

In the backroom of our home, I have 5 bookcases.  The bookcases literally span one side of our room touching from one wall to the other.  The books for sale in the store are copies of the same books I have read and have here at home.

I decided to add several other categories and fill them with items that I love and treasure having.  The Cuisinart Coffeepot and Grinder (for instance) in the home section is a coffeepot that my husband and I received when we were married in 2006.  It’s been the best coffeepot we have ever had.  We use it daily, and it has never let us down.  It’s been in our home for 7 years now which is an unusual length of time for a coffeepot to last.

If you go back through the archives, I wrote about a steam mop that was the greatest mop I have ever used.  The Shark is a mop that only uses water (no chemicals at all).  The steam does a fantastic job of cleaning and sanitizing our home.  It’s easy to use and there is nothing messy about it.  I have had the mop for over a year now and have never regretted buying it for a moment.  This product can also be found in the home section.

Under the beauty section, You will notice an Oil of Olay cleansing scrub.  I love all of the Oil of Olay products, but this scrub is incredible.  As a woman in my mid 40’s, this scrub does an excellent job of keeping my skin looking clear, fresh and glowing.  It really is the best scrub I have found to date.

In the beauty category, you will also find the bath wash the guys in this house love.  It’s Old Spice (nothing like the cologne fathers used to wear).  It has an incredible scent and it’s the only body wash my son will use.

If you like perfume, there are two perfumes in the beauty section.  I wear Michael Kors Hollywood in the winter and Giorgio Armani’s Aqua di Gio in the summer.  Both have been discontinued, but can still be found on Amazon (thank goodness).

I will be adding a gift section at some point for those moments when you are unsure of what type of gift to get for someone you care about.

All of the products that are listed can be bought through Amazon.  If you pick a product, you can buy it right here without leaving this site.  The best part about shopping here is that if you have any questions about any product, just write to me and I will write you back with more information on the product and what my personal experience has been.

Two things I would like to note, one is that there are a couple of items listed that I have been wanting to try but haven’t yet.  If you ask a question about a product I haven’t tried yet, I will let you know that as well.  The other thing I need to mention is that I am an Amazon Affiliate.  I will get a percentage of money from any sale from this site.

I hope you enjoy your shopping experience.  If you have any questions or comments, please let me know.  Thanks so much.

    • Thanks Stephanie. It’s awesome getting some feedback regarding what you think about the store. I can’t wait to get all of my experiences with these products filled in.

  1. Wendy, your energy amazes me! What an incredible idea—Wendy’s Favorite Things 🙂
So typical of you to want to share all of your discoveries!

I, too, adore, Acqua di Gio. I noticed on the Amazon website that there were some comments about how authentic the some of fragrances sold there might be. I did find the real deal on Macy’s website, with an Allure sticker on it, so I think Armani must have brought back the scent.

Didn’t want you to get bad feedback from this item, because it is a lovely fragrance.

Your pursuit of the happiness as a prolific writer is admirable; your genuine interest to share with your readers is inspirational.

    Have a lovely day!

    • Wow, thanks so much, you made my day. I am thrilled Macy’s has Aqua di Gio back. Macy’s is my favorite store!! I had just bought some more perfume for the summer and at the time I couldn’t find it at Macy’s. So excited it’s back.
